SeaGate Terminals Breaks Ground on New Solar-Powered Building in Norfolk, VA

SeaGate Terminals, LLC recently broke ground on a solar-powered multi-use building at our Norfolk location.

Special guests attending the groundbreaking ceremony on August 8 included David White from the Virginia Maritime Association, Ben White and Tim Howlett from the City of Chesapeake Economic Development and Brandon Nice from David Nice Builders. SeaGate Terminals Manager Jay White offered thankful words to team members in Virginia.

“As Seagate Terminals has seen its business flourish in Chesapeake, we are excited to support the construction of a new office for our deserving team members in Norfolk,” said Kevin Glover, President of SeaGate Terminals. “We’re honored to build a new facility to meet growing customer demand and to incorporate solar technology into the overall design.”

The 4,000 square-foot, two-story building will feature office space, a conference room, locker rooms, showers, a break room and training area. As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, the new building will include solar panels on the roof. The new multi-use building is expected to be complete in March 2024.
