SeaGate Terminals Installs New Super Sack Bagger at Norfolk Site

In July 2024, SeaGate Terminals installed a new super sack bagging machine on-site in Norfolk, which makes it possible to bag 2,000-pound sacks of soda ash and other bulk materials for customers. This new addition is part of an overall strategy to diversify the revenue stream at our Virginia terminal and to provide added value services for our customers.

We’ve had this super sack bagging capability at the SeaGate Terminals site in Savannah for several years, but now this technology is available in Norfolk as well. The response from our customers at the Norfolk terminal has been overwhelmingly positive so far.
